With the recent retirement of Commissioner Harry George, Sr., King County Fire District #37 had a vacancy in Position #2 on their Board of Commissioners. After a formal interview and selection process, James (Jim) Scott was appointed to the vacant position.
Jim brings over 38 years of experience in the financial services industry to the Puget Sound RFA, assessing budgets and the effectiveness of the RFA programs that affect the citizens of unincorporated King county. He enjoys living on five acres just outside Covington with his spouse of 47 years, Sharon. Together they have three grown children and five grandchildren. Jim served the City of Covington for over 19 years as a Planning Commissioner and then 11 years as a City Council member. He is excited to begin this new chapter of community service with the RFA.
Welcome Commissioner Scott!
