Notice of Fire Commissioner Vacancy – District #37

King County Fire District No. 37 has a vacancy in Commissioner Position #2. The vacancy will be filled by appointment with term lasting through certification of the November 2023 General Election. The position is scheduled for election in the November 2025 General Election.

The KCFD #37 Board of Commissioners consists of three (3) members. Commissioners act as the board of directors for the fire district, as well as voting members of the Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority Governance Board. Applicants must be a registered voter residing within the fire district. If you are interested in serving your community as Fire Commissioner, please submit an application form to the district’s secretary no later than 5:00 pm on February 12, 2023.

If you would prefer to have a form mailed/emailed to you or you would like to know more about the Commissioner role, please contact District Secretary Jessica Steward at JSteward@pugetsoundfire.org or 253-856-4323. All qualified candidates will be interviewed by the Board of Fire Commissioners. Candidate interviews are tentatively scheduled for March 1, 2023 at 4:00pm. Applicants will be notified if any changes are made to the tentative schedule. Candidates will be interviewed in the order received.
