FIRE COMMISSIONER VACANCY – POSITION #1

King County Fire District No. 43 has a vacancy in Commissioner Position #1. The vacancy will be filled by appointment with term lasting through certification of the November 2025 General Election. The KCFD #43 Board of Commissioners consists of five (5) members who meet the third Thursday of every month at 6:00 p.m. Commissioners act as the board of directors for the fire district, as well as advisory members of the Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority Governance Board. Applicants must be a registered voter residing within KCFD #43 or Maple Valley city limits.

The Board of Commissioners has nominated Mark Mulich for the vacant position and will accept additional nominations from District registered voters. If you are interested in serving your community as Fire Commissioner, please submit an application form to the district’s secretary no later than 3:00 pm on Thursday, June 6, 2024. All qualified candidates will be interviewed by the Board of Fire Commissioners. Candidate interviews will be held during the District’s regular meeting on June 20th at 6:00pm. Candidates will be interviewed in the order received.
