Facilities and Property Management

Mission Statement

The Facilities and Property Management Division professionally committed to support the greater RFA community by maintaining facilities and infrastructure with integrity.

Unit Overview

The Facilities and Property Management Division is responsible for maintaining sixteen fire stations and several support buildings totaling approximately 285,000 square feet of building space.  To complete this, we have implemented an aggressive preventative maintenance program to lengthen the life expectancy of the equipment and reduce costly repairs. This approach also reduces out of service time for critical systems that would lengthen response times and/or affect the health and wellness of the firefighters and staff members.

Successes

We continually complete all repairs on mission critical equipment the same day we are notified. Mission critical equipment includes:

  • Exhaust extraction systems,
  • HVAC equipment,
  • Apparatus bay doors,
  • Plumbing,
  • Decontamination equipment
