Petition for Adjustment Process
Each year, in January and February, there is an opportunity to file a Petition for Adjustment of Benefit Charges. For 2021 petitions, you may submit an online petition at myfireinfo.com or call 253-856-4359 for assistance in filing the petition over the phone. Petitions for Adjustment must be received online or delivered by hand to Fire Headquarters – 24611 116th Ave. SE, Kent, WA 98030 – by 4:30 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2021.
The Benefit Charge Review Board will hear Petitions for Adjustment of the Benefit Charge Assessment on February 3, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. at Fire Station #78 – 178209 SE 256th St. Covington. In the event that in-person meetings are still prohibited due to COVID-19 at the time of the hearings, please consult this website for further details. Your presence at the hearing is not mandatory and your petition will be considered without your attendance. The hearing will be closed by the Board and decisions issued at their meeting on February 17th. You will receive notice of the Board’s decision.
