Petition for Adjustment Process
Each year, in January and February, there is an opportunity to file a Petition for Adjustment of Benefit Charges.
The Puget Sound Fire Benefit Charge Review Board forms each year for two weeks to review and hear all written Petition. The Review Board may reduce the benefit charge fee to an amount they believe to be true, fair, and just, if it is found that errors in data or calculations have been made. Your attendance at the hearing is not mandatory, and your timely filed petition will still be considered if you are unable to attend.
