Puget Sound Fire Governance Board
The Governance Board is made up of two appointed members and one alternate from each of the following jurisdictions:

- Tukwila City Council
- King County Fire District #37
- King County Fire District #43
In addition, there are three non‑voting Advisory Board Members, one each from:

King County Fire District #43 Commissioners
The District #43 Board of Commissioners is comprised of five members elected by the residents of the District. Two seated members and one alternate are chosen each year to represent the District on the Puget Sound Fire Governance Board.

Effective 09/30/2026, the regular meetings of the King County Fire District #43 Board of Commissioners will change due to annexation into the Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority. The meetings are scheduled for the first Wednesday of each month at 5:00 pm.
